What is a paludarium?
A paludarium is an enclosure that combines a water section with a land or emersed section, so aquatic and terrestrial plants, and small aquatic livestock, live in one tank. The UNS Foresta builds the filter, waterfall and mist maker into the tank itself.
What is included with the UNS Foresta Paludarium system?
Every UNS Foresta includes the rimless glass tank with its rear filter chamber, a USB-powered water pump, outflow pipe, bio sponge filter media, Foresta Mat plant pads, plant thread, the UNS Atomizer mist maker with its bracket, a chamber lid and a black leveling mat.
What is the difference between the UNS Foresta 35E and 60E?
The Foresta 35E measures 35 × 35 × 45 cm with a display volume of about 11 litres and 6 plant pads. The Foresta 60E measures 60 × 36 × 45 cm with a display volume of about 20 litres and 12 plant pads, giving a wider planting wall and more room for hardscape.
What kinds of plants grow best in the UNS Foresta?
UNS recommends mosses, Anubias, ferns and Bucephalandra for the planting wall. They attach to the absorbent plant pads with the included thread and stay moist from the waterfall and the mist.
Is the UNS Foresta suitable for keeping nano fish or shrimp?
Yes, in small numbers. The water section is filtered through the rear chamber, which suits Neocaridina shrimp, snails and a light stocking of true nano fish. The display volume is small, so stock conservatively.
